Directory Information

What is directory information?
Directory information is information that is generally not considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if released and may be disclosed to outside organizations without a parent’s, legal guardian’s, or educational rights holder’s prior written consent.

The Board of Education has identified the officials and organizations that are authorized to receive directory information, each of which is listed on the District’s Information Release Form found in the annual Parent Student Handbook. The following student directory information may be released to an authorized recipient unless a written request to withhold its release is on file, as indicated on the Information Release Form submitted to the school each school year by the posted deadline.

Military Recruiter Disclosure

Federal law requires school districts receiving assistance under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) to provide military recruiters, upon request, with the name, home address, school-issued email address, and home telephone number of students in grades 11 and 12. Parents, legal guardians, or educational rights holders may submit a signed Information Release Form to their child’s school principal by the posted annual deadline to document that they do not want the student’s information disclosed to United States Armed Forces military recruiters.

Affidavits

In accordance with District policy, all purchasers of student directory information must sign an affidavit regarding the restricted use of this information. Please submit a completed and signed Student Directory Information Affidavit by email.

Once the affidavit is approved, an invoice will be provided to the requestor. Payment must be made in full before the student directory information file can be released.
